The 2006 Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village.

We are excited to be offering a new format for our Stallion Service Auction for 2007!

Rather than hold an "in person" live auction as we have in the past, we will be having an online "ebay" type auction, giving a wider exposure for our donated stallions and giving mare owners who live outside the Salt Lake City area an increased opportunity of participating in the Auction and Futurities. Stallions will be posted on the website as they are consigned.

Mail in and phone in bids will still be accepted.

The Auction will continue to have two sections:
Halter, Longe-Line, 2 Year Old Western Pleasure & 2 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle and 3 Year Old Select Slide Reining.

We asked you to tell us what you thought about adding a Double State Points-Two Judge Show to our schedule and the response was unanimous. Everyone who responded thought it was a great idea! So....we are trying to work it into the schedule and will keep you posted.

Another opinion voiced through the suggestion box concerned the Walk Trot rules. In the past we have allowed Walk Trot exhibitors to use multiple horses at shows throughout the year. Points were awarded to and accumulated on the exhibitor only rather than a "horse and rider" combination. This rule has been changed beginning with the 2007 show season. Walk Trot points will be now be based on a "horse and rider combination" as they are in other Youth categories.
